Core concepts
Section titled “Core concepts”Account
Section titled “Account”This is social media (X, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) account on behalf of which content will be posted.
A singular piece of content posted by account – tweet, post, story. Includes text, media (image or video) or both.
Account Group
Section titled “Account Group”A set of accounts that are grouped under user preferences. It might be some brand or client company. Every API key might be limited to a certain profile. It helps to avoid accidental wrong account posts.
Media storage and upload
Section titled “Media storage and upload”When you create a post with media you can either set your own link to the content or you can upload it to our storage. The media uploaded is stored before your post gets published and then gets removed forever.
Rate limits and retries
Section titled “Rate limits and retries”Both social networks and PostProxy have rate limits. While you don’t need to bother with PostProxy API rate limits most of times you might expect delays when you want to put lots of content to some social networks. Rate limits are per network and per current load of those so we advice you not to try to calculate them. If your post hits quota it will be managed automatically by PostProxy.
